WCCT recently completed its largest cerebrospinal cerebral spinal fluid (CSF) Pharmacokinetic (PK) sampling study. The typical CSF collection study has 6-8 subjects receiving single or serial samples. The recent study completed by WCCT enrolled and completed an astonishing total of 48 healthy subjects who were confined in-house for a period of 16 days while undergoing a controlled up-titration of the study medication. On Day 14 of the study, subjects underwent a procedure placing an intrathecal catheter into the dural space in order to withdraw serial Pharmacokinetic samples of cerebral spinal fluid. Jon Rojas, COO, stated “The ability for WCCT to offer continuous LP sampling fits well with the industry’s need for measuring pharmacodynamic endpoints in the CSF.”
